The GEOSET Initiative at FSU Libraries offers an array of free digital media services to the FSU scientific community. While we primarily serve faculty, anyone within the FSU community is encouraged to contact us about projects that advance scientific communications, including staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students. Our goal is to help you share your work with the widest possible audience, whether through video, audio, or other digital media.
One of the best ways to share your research or scholarly work is through video. GEOSET offers pre-production consultations, use of production equipment and studio space, and post-production help to the FSU community. Since capacity is limited, those interested in GEOSET video services for their project are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible. Please choose a time to meet about your project, and a member of our team will get in touch.
Full-service Production Studio
For Faculty, staff, and graduate researchers and students, we offer use of the GEOSET studio on the main floor of Dirac. After you meet with us to describe your project, we will reserve the studio for your use. We require at least two business days to book the initial consultation.
The Media Suite at Dirac is an individual-use recording studio available to everyone in the FSU community. It has a robust selection of audio recording equipment, a green screen, and an editing station. Please reserve the room through the Library's booking system.
On-location Recording & Streaming
Offered on a limited basis, GEOSET can record and livestream your scholarly event. This service is reserved for events that align with the mission of GEOSET. We offer live streaming through the FSU Libraries YouTube page. If you are interested in recording and streaming your event please reach out as soon as possible, and at least two weeks prior to the event date. Please choose a time to meet about your event, and a member of our team will get in touch.
Research & Grant Supplements
Want to integrate audiovisual elements into your research or grant proposal? A new component to our array of services, GEOSET can help produce content to show the broader impact of your work and improve community outreach. Please reach out to schedule a meeting time and we can determine how we can best help you enrich your research or grant application with new media.
